A Saturday, the Danville way

Kids run. Parents relax. Orange slices appear.

Soccer should feel like a neighborhood thing.

Kids running around with friends. Parents in folding chairs, soaking up the sun. Mount Diablo keeping watch over the whole thing. That is the idea, and it is pretty much the whole plan.

What we stand for

Eight promises, plain and simple.

We are parents too. This is how we want to run a soccer club, and how we hope you will hold us to it.

  1. Kids' development comes first.

Every choice starts with one question: is this good for the kids? Skills, confidence, and a love of the game come before trophies.

  2. Community, not a profit machine.

We are forming as a California nonprofit. Money stays in the club and goes back to the kids.

  3. Minimal dues.

We will keep dues as low as we responsibly can. Our goal is about $279 per season, plus kit at cost.

    Goal, TBC
  4. Rec dues stay rec.

Rec fees never subsidize competitive programs. Your dues go to your own kid's rec season. Period.

  5. No tryouts, no stress.

This is not a hothouse. Nobody has to worry about making a team. Show up, play, and have fun.

  6. One team per age group.

Each age group plays together as one team. Friends stay together and nobody gets sorted.

  7. Parent volunteer coaches.

Coaches are parents and neighbors who want to help. We plan to support them with training and background checks.

  8. No overcharging.

Clear, honest costs. Kit at cost. We will publish an itemized breakdown before registration opens.

Why Danville

Hills. Oaks. One very good mountain.

Danville is a good place to grow up. The hills turn golden in summer and green in winter. The oaks have watched plenty of Saturdays. The Iron Horse Trail is right there for a walk or a bike ride, and Mount Diablo keeps an eye on all of it.

We want a soccer club that feels like it belongs here.

Home is the best field there is.

Good questions

Before you ask.

Something else on your mind? Write to info@danvilleunited.com. A real person will answer.

Never played soccer before?

That is totally fine. Come as you are. We are building this for kids who want to run around, make friends, and learn as they go.

Are there tryouts?

No. No tryouts, no cuts, and nobody has to worry about making a team.

Who coaches?

Parent volunteers. We plan to support them with training and background checks, so nobody has to figure it out alone.

What age groups do you have?

We are starting with one team, U11 (players born in 2017). We will add more ages as more families join.

When does it start?

Our first season is Fall 2027. Registration is expected to open in early 2027, and we will share exact dates as soon as we have them.

Is the Register button a payment?

No. Register is just an interest form. It puts you on our list so we can email you as registration gets closer. You will not be charged anything.
